People

Tp, the Tuscan magazine with international scope

Why is our Tuscan WebZine called "TuscanyPeople" and juxtaposes two English words Tuscany - meaning Tuscany - and People - meaning People -?

Simple, Tuscany is one of the most international regions in the world, English is the international language, TuscanyPeople, which caters to all those who love Tuscany and/or are curious about it, is itself an international Tuscan WebZine.

As for People, well, we talk every day about Tuscany in its myriad forms, an area blessed by the beauty and harmony of nature, yes, but also by history, art, culture, in a nutshell:

by the Excellence of human ingenuity, because the truth is that Tuscany would not be what it is without its People past and present, that is why we share credit equally between the land itself and those who have inhabited and inhabit it.

That is why TuscanyPeople.

And that is why we of the entire editorial staff of the first digital magazine on Tuscany, imagine ourselves every day soaring in a shiny spaceship, setting sail from Piazza della Signoria in Florence, and then ideally expanding in successive concentric circles until we cover the entire region.

So in seconds from the cradle of the Renaissance we are on the medieval village of Certaldo, the town of Messer Boccaccio, on San Miniato-with its beautiful churches and white truffles, on San Giovanni Valdarno, and on the fascinating Castle of the Counts Guidi, in Poppi.

Another wider circle, and off we go, we are over three marvelous piazzas: Piazza del Duomo in Pistoia, Piazza del Campo in Siena, and Piazza Grande in Arezzo, passing through Chianti, the industrious Empoli, the magnificent towers of San Gimignano, Sansepolcro, the capital of the Val Tiberina, and Borgo San Lorenzo, in the wooded Mugello.

A blinding flash and we're on to the next circle that includes the mountainous Abetone area, beautiful Lucca-with its many villas scattered around it, Montecatini Terme, sensational Volterra, Renaissance Pienza in the Val d'Orcia, and, straddling this sublime valley and the Val di Chiana, medieval Montepulciano, including one of Tuscany's most beautiful villages-Cortona.

We accelerate to the penultimate circle, Versilia, Massa, Carrara, the VIP Forte dei Marmi, the extravagant Viareggio, we quickly observe Piazza dei Miracoli, in Pisa, the Leaning Tower, then the Medici Port of Livorno, Castiglioncello, Cecina, Castagneto Carducci, Massa Marittima, up to the port of Piombino, up to Follonica and the capital of the astonishing Maremma, Grosseto, to reach the charming tuff villages, Sovana, Sorano, Pitigliano.

The last circle is the most heavenly one, we pass ecstatically over the iridescent blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea, touching the entire Tuscan Archipelago: Gorgona, Capraia, Elba Island to the Orbetello Lagoon; by now we are all in the grip of a collective Stendhal syndrome: too much beauty for our eyes, we can't hold on, we have to land.

But tomorrow we will be back on top of our spaceship, full of love for Tuscany and a desire to get to know it more and more, telling the world every day about theimmeasurable charm of this land and its inhabitants: TuscanyPeople, People and Stories from Tuscany.

Follow us, we will show you endless wonders.
