The 7 Michelin-starred restaurants in the Tuscan Maremma with 8 stars Michelin Many Michelin stars shine on Tuscany also for the 2025, although on some sites you can read that the starred restaurants in Maremma there are 6 of them, basically reconfirmations. However, let us ask ourselves: Which Maremma are we talking about? Yes, because there is a tendency to think that this area is represented only by its lower part, that is, the Maremma Grossetana, the area around Grosseto, while in reality Maremma is a much larger territory. Equivalent to approximately 5000 km2, geographically corresponds more or less to a quarter of the entire Tuscany region, and is divided into three macro-areas: Pisan Maremma (or Livornese or Alta Maremma or Northern Maremma), Maremma Grossetana And Maremma Laziale. Leaving aside the third macro-area which does not concern us directly, the Tuscan Maremma includes the Pisa and Livorno coast – pushing inland up to the first reliefs of the Val di Cecina, the Val di Cornia and the Colline Metallifere -, to continue towards Piombino, The Gulf of Follonica, theArgentario and theCapalbio area – pushing into the lower Ombrone Valley and the internal hilly areas up to the Mount Amiata. A gigantic territory that goes from Pisa to the border with Lazio and which also includes a large strip of internal areas. Given the above, then There are 7 starred Maremma restaurants in 2025, with 8 stars overall: let's see which ones, and why they received the coveted award. Trattoria Enrico Bartolini – Castiglione della Pescaia – 1 Michelin star In the Michelin Guide 2025 Trattoria Enrico Bartolini is described as follows: “Path one majestic postcard entrance, a long avenue that alternates cypresses and maritime pines, between vineyards and Maremma cattle, you finally arrive at the restaurant, which wants to capture the intense and rustic flavours, familiar and reassuring, but which otherwise takes place between elegant rooms with some rustic touches and a high level service, with accents of pleasant informality and friendlinessWelcome to Bartolini's restaurant with a Maremma twist! Here, the resident Chef Bruno De Moura Cossio proposes a choice based on a single common denominator: the embers, each dish served has an element that has “met” this type of cooking, giving thatoriginal aroma to dishes. If the the chef's Brazilian origins are evident from various references, the products are – instead – strictly local, some even owned by the company. Also worthy of praise is the baking in its most varied declinations: a delicious common thread throughout the entire lunch! light formality of service will make guests feel at home, pampered by aexcellent selection of wines; we highly recommend tasting those produced on the estate.” Caino – Montemerano – 2 Michelin stars since 1999 The second of the starred Maremma restaurants which we find in the Michelin Guide 2025 It's the Caino restaurant. Food critics tell us this: “In the heart of a pretty Tuscan village, Caino is the gravitational center of Maremma cuisine, and Valeria Piccini his best interpreter: capable researcher of the best raw material of the territory reworked without losing a gram of flavour, as in the cheese ravioli with beetroot cream or in different pici alla amatriciana. But for those who want a touch of the sea here is the cacciucco, delicate in the fish proposed, but intense for the creamy sauce served with seasonal vegetables just blanched and the classic toasted crouton. room is well supported by the son Andrea, guardian of a well-stocked wine cellar: deep vertical tastings of Brunello, Barolo, and Tuscan Bordeaux blends, at great prices. Come with friends and enjoy a delicious 1988 Partridge Eye Vin Santo or 1989. In summer – on the terrace – it opens Cain's Garden: a simpler bistro-style form, with recipes even more closely tied to ancient and family traditions.” La Pineta – Marina di Bibbona – 1 Michelin star Among the starred Maremma restaurants 2025, La Pineta confirms its brilliant place in the Michelin Guide Also for next year. Here's how the place is described: “By car you cross a pine forest and you practically arrive on the shoreline, while in front of it opens a horizon of beach, sea and waves, on the left you will see a low house that almost looks like an ordinary beach resort: in fact, it is the historic seafood restaurant of the Zazzeri familyDaniele in the kitchen and Andrea in the dining room. Always the same, without any need to seek sharp modern turns, the simplicity of the cuisine, which goes hand in hand with the vintage style of the rooms, is their absolute direction, both in the pairings both in the ultra-classic cooking techniques; until the quality of the catch (mostly local) and the comfortable goodness of the final result will remain unchanged, it will always be a pleasure to suggest this address above fashion.“ Bracali – Ghirlanda – 1 Michelin star Bracali is another of the starred restaurants in Maremma to reconfirm its presence with 1 star in the Michelin Guide 2025, who tells us so. “Local d'unexpected elegance in the small hamlet of Ghirlanda, in the heart of the Metalliferous HillsThis is where the kitchen of Francesco Bracali it materialises in two tasting menus (whose dishes can also be ordered à la carte), between classic proposals and continuous innovations, lots of meat and also a little fish. From the cellar and of thewelcome he deals with great expertise Luca, brother of the chef: very large and well structured is the wine proposal, divided into two very specific blocks, Italy and the rest of the worldParticular attention and passion are reserved for verticals. Attention: Reservation required!” Il Pellicano – Porto Ercole – 1 Michelin star The fifth of the Michelin-starred restaurants in the Tuscan Maremma which we find in the Michelin Guide 2025 it is the Il Pellicano restaurant to Porto ErcoleFood critics tell us this: “After a Parisian experience, Michelino Gioia, from Campania with a soft spot for Tuscany, has returned to work with the Sciò family, enriched by a new belief, or the importance of working by reduction: few ingredients, therefore, but capable of enhance the taste making it the sole and undisputed protagonist of the table. In his kitchen we find different consistencies and bold flavors, embraces between land and sea, imaginative interpretations of tradition. With its terrace overlooking the sea and the scent of rosemary in the air, The Pelican is one of the most romantic addresses in Italy, enhanced by the friendly and professional service offered by the numerous staff.” Gabbiano 3.0 – Marina di Grosseto – 1 Michelin star The Seagull 3.0 Marina di Grosseto confirms its presence in the list of starred restaurants in Maremma with 1 star in the Michelin Guide 2025, who tells us so. “Overlooking the dock, the restaurant is a wooden casing with 180° sea view and Punta Ala, the islands of Elba, Giglio and Montecristo and the Argentario. In short, a show, especially when they open the curtains on a beautiful sunset. At the stove, Alessandro Rossi sets up two tasting menus with dishes that can still be ordered à la carte. Lots of fish, of course, but also meat and various vegetable ingredients coming from his garden.” Silene – Seggiano – 1 Michelin star Last but not least among the Michelin-starred restaurants in Maremma 2025 it is the Silene, to Seggiano, of the chef-patron Roberto RossiThe Michelin Guide tells us this: “A real one family-run artisanal factory of gastronomic delicacies: in a small village with few inhabitants, the chef-owner Roberto Rossi seduces his guests with a a decidedly Tuscan cuisine line, with intense and fragrant flavours, where the vegetable garden is the main actor. To its generous products in fact, we rely on the creation of iconic recipes such as fried egg with leaves and flowers or the classic pigeon with herbs. All seasoned with home-produced oil made with Seggiano wild olives. Excellent cellar and enlightened advice of Sara Vichi to best combine dishes.” ©Jaime Londono Dear reader,, if you liked this article you could also leave us a comment below, on FB, on IG, or share it via the button WhatsApp. Also, if you have the Android system on your Smartphone, it's easy to stay in touch with TuscanyPeople: just slide your finger on the Home touchscreen from right to left to open Discover by Google who often chooses our articles among the most interesting to read.
