The Uffizi Gallery in Florence

It's hard to find a region in the world that contains more art than Tuscany. Only Uffizi Gallery, in Florence, together with the Vasari Corridor, contain an immense quantity of masterpieces: from Raphael to Botticelli, passing through the fundamental nuclei of the works of Giotto, Titian, Pontormo, Bronzino, Andrea del Sarto, up to masters of the caliber of Caravaggio, Dürer, Rubens, and many others.

Monuments and works of art to see in Florence

In the Accademia Gallery, also in Florence, is preserved Michelangelo's David - from the early 16th century, over 5 metres tall -, probably the most important and famous marble statue of all time.

TO Pitti Palace The collection focuses on paintings from the 16th century and the Baroque period (from Giorgione to Titian, from Ribera to Van Dyck), but also from the Italian 19th and 20th centuries.

And so the Duomo, the Baptistery, Giotto's Bell Tower, Palazzo Vecchio, the Bargello, the basilicas of Santa Maria Novella, Santa Croce, Santo Spirito, the Convent of San Marco, the Abbey of San Miniato al Monte, themselves art in its purest form, contain many masterpieces by the greatest masters of all time.

The art cities of Tuscany

And if Florence is all art, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Arezzo, Grosseto, to name just the most important Tuscan cities, also represent marvelous architectural art (in some cases miraculous, if you think of the Leaning Tower) and are in turn treasure chests of immense, unparalleled art.

Then there is the art scattered everywhere, that of the many towns, cities, villages, the art of fabulous, mystical buildings, such as the Abbey of San Galgano, the Certosa, of Calci, the one in Florence, or the Abbey of Sant'Antimo, in Val d'Orcia.

Lesser-known art

But TuscanyPeople is not only the most well-known art, it is also the search for art niches for connoisseurs or enthusiasts, such as, an example for all, the collection of 109 works created by the most famous Italian artists and international selections by the great literary critic Leone Piccioni, at Villa Bertelli (Forte dei Marmi).
